Great for about.... 4 months
bought these to put in my server for my 720p partition as a spanned array. Fast Speeds at first and great reliability. Unfortunately, 4 months later and both drives have dropped out of the array or have completely stopped to work. What a disappointment. Time for the boring RMA process because of an inferior product. Maybe I might of just had a couple of lemons.

Nice drive when you get a working drive! Seagate should have better Quality Assurance, it use to when drive built in US.

Good Solid Value
Bought two of these for my Buffalo LinkStation Pro Duo RAID 1 NAS. Very quiet, very reliable, with excellent file transfer speeds. Event though price has gone up $40 since the sale I would recommend this drive to anyone.

Solid quality and speedy performance
Have been using 3 of these for 3 weeks now. They are much faster than the WD Green drives I was using. I don't hear anything from them! Disk to disk transfers are fast.. the waits are gone.

Excellent Drive - Huge Capacity
I love Seagate drives and have never had a bad one. This drive is used for my files, games etc. and I rely on an SSD for the boot drive. Only problem is that WIN7 can't create a 3TB drive image. Seems its limited to the old 2TB drives, but the drive works great in spite of Windows limitations. Also, my ASUS motherboard is older and does not have the UEFI bios so it would not ordinarily allow me to see the whole 3TB in a single drive. However, ASUS provides software to get around this limitation called Disk Unlocker, so I was able to format the entire 3TB into a single drive volume and now I'm happy!

Dead after 7 months
Worked well for almost 7 months and then died. Working with Seagate to get it replaced. Drive was installed in an internal drive bay.

Works as advertised
Quick and easy install for a new build. Recognized and formatted quickly. Make sure motherboard and operating software are compatible with a 3 TB drive before you buy this product to upgrade. Arrived very quickly. One day 2 hours after I ordered it by some fluke which was cool.
