I researched nearly 20 different plasma EDTVs over the past four months trying to determine which has the most to offer in picture quality and ''high tech'' options. After reading many reviews and comparisons between different manufacturers, Panasonic's plasma panel routinely topped the charts. I was originally looking at the TH-42PD25UP, but that was before this model came on the market. You can't go wrong with either.
Once I unpacked the panel, it was placed on it's included pedistal and a Samsung DVD-HD850 was connected via HDMI (very nice not to need 4 wires). Spiderman 2 never looked so damn sweet (except for in the theater). The picture quality and coloring are impressive. You can't run out of contrast or brightness with this TV!! This panel is definitely in a class of it's own. I fully recommend this plasma to anyone not looking for a $4k panel but wants to pretend they have one.
