I have three of these units. But on this one the USB port does not work. Luckily the computer connected to it is 5 years old and has a serial port to run the Power Chute software that came with it. |

This was not my first APC UPS. I had recently ordered a new computer, and I needed another UPS to increase my system capacity. I was pleased to find an item similar to the one I had at an attractive price. I quickly put it to good use. Need I say more? |

I had a Cyber power UPS (1285) that would not accept generator power, this unit works great on or off utility power. I would recommend the next model up if you need to be able to adjust sensitivity, the DELL does not allow adjustment, but it does work with my 14kw generator. over all a good UPS and considering price an excellent value. |

With the recent severe weather and power related problems (that caused damage to my computer eqquipment) - I knew it was time to look at how to guard my power supply. After the first weather related problem, I went out and got 2 units to protect my essential computer equipment and my Internet connection. I now how my critical components on the UPS and sailed through another power interuption - no issues. Based on the first set of problems I experienced - the units probably saved me $200 in computer equipment and about $4000 in lost revenue due to equipment outages. |

If you need a true sign wave battery backup (required for servers), this is it. I tried the basic APC 1500va backup on several servers and they would fail when the power was cut. Talked to APC tech. and they indicated that I need a smart ups with a true sign wave. I ordered this here because of the price and have since ordered 8 of them. I've replaced many server backups with these. No more problems.
The package is a bit ragged, but the product is just fine. |

The UPS has 1 File Server, and 1 Webserver along with a 24 port router on it, and it only shows a load level of 2 bars! The only bad thing about this is the inablitity of the unit to shut down more then 1 unit when the UPS goes dead..... Keep that in mind if you are looking. Although I did not try a USB hub....... However, if you are using the serial port off the UPS the USB connection does not work. This is the first UPS that I have worked with....... |

The purpose of this power is merely to run 1 computer, monitor, printer, modem & router during power outages. So far I anticiapte having adequate time, all day even. Easy to install and works like it says it will. |

Some have said there is a problem with this because there is some feature or other missing. I work with these APC SMART-UPS 1500s all the time, and this is just like the ones I usually work with, but much less expensive. The packaging is usually beat up by the shipper, so don't plan on re-using it. |

Purchased this unit November 08, prompt delivery, no damage to packaging or UPS.
Our building kept losing power, sometimes several times a day! I've had it several months now and it's never failed me. When everyone else in the building is leaving due to power failures, I just keep on working.(Graphics Production) Running two PC's and monitors and sound. Don't let a couple bad reviews fool you. Sweet UPS!
Most office supply stores sell this unit for twice the price. |
