Bad
I had trouble with this kvm switch 3 weeks after starting to use it. I called iogears tech support and spoke to debbie. Needless to say I was not happy with how I was spoken to, as I felt that she was condescending, and rude. She offered no solutions other than that I needed to buy a different type of kvm switch, when asked what I should do with the one I called about. Fortunately the retailer I bought it from is willing to give me a refund, but I will not be buying anything else made by iogear anytime soon. If she had even said to me that I could return it to iogear, or that there was nothing she could do for me, I would have been willing to accept that. However the tone that was used was unnacceptable for someone to use when speaking to a customer.

Great KVM for the Home
What I like about it: The cables are removable and cables of longer length can be purchased. Control the KVM via hotkey or by buttons on the front of the KVM. Set up was easy and response rate is fine. All ports are in the back of the unit; Other 4 port models I have owned have a port on each side of the device. How I'm using it: This KVM is connected to 2 desktops, a laptop and an Xbox (Using my monitor with the Xbox and this connection requires couplers).

Bit of a Problem
Connecting two Windows (1 XP & 1 7) and Linux file server. First off, the HP mouse (USB) was causing everything to scroll down continually so had to switch to a USB to PS2 adapter and use an older keyboard and mouse to stop the continual scrolling. Still can't get he audio to worm from any of the boxes through the switch.

Don't Waste Your Time or Money!!!
I bought this because of the 4-port hookup with USB and audio features. It was more expensive than the other unit from a different manufacturer, but it looked like it would be a better quality device. WRONG! It absolutely does not work for me. The USB keyboard would blink out on me, or go dead after I typed a few keystrokes, then come back on. It would maybe sometimes enter keystrokes, sometimes not. It would randomly add about 50 of the same characters. The machine I was using this with has XP installed. My 2k machine would not even recognize the keyboard through this KVM, even after trying multiple USB ports on my computer. I will be returning this product first thing on Saturday morning, and will be very thankful to have my money back for this.

Works on Linux and ESX
Bought this the other day to control 2 F14 Laptops on docking stations, one is my daily use laptop and the other is my retired laptop that stills works exceptionally well. I also have an ESX server plugged into it. Worked right out of the box. I have a standard USB keyboard and a log i tech (they block names) wireless mouse. Also, audio works well.... as soon as you read the manual and figure out you need to hold the button for 4-5 seconds to switch Audio. Key strokes are nice SCRLL SCRLL then the port num and enter (numbers above the letters, no numlocks) All in all it is a great solution for me. Only VGA though (May be a problem for some) Got it on sales (normally around 140) it was around 89.00
