I had been looking at several low price, portable DVD players. I have read reviews and done tons of research. This is definately the one to buy for the price! I have only found one drawback for this player: the sound is not that loud through the speakers, but it is fine through headphones. This is the only drawback. It has two headphone jacks for listening. The slimline, bottom mounting battery lasts for about 4 hours so you can watch 2 movies on it before it goes dead and you can charge the battery at any point in time. I also use it as my main DVD player on one of my TV's when I'm not traveling. It is a very sturdy DVD player as well. None of the parts or accessories are cheap. The credit card size remote works great and the player can be operated with the remote or controls on the unit. It comes with all needed accessories (wall & car charger, remote, RCA cable, battery) so you don't have to buy any other electronic add-ons. This is the best player you can buy at this price! |

This is excellent value for the price. You can throw ANY type of CD/DVD/MP3 at it and it plays it. Looked at many others more expensive but kept coming back to this one. The sound is not the greatest but can be overcome with headphones, and in the car with 4 kids we use a car kit (we still have a tape player), or we hook it up to our computer speakers. We use it with our camera (slide shows), in hotel rooms and at the library for DVD viewing, for teaching purposes, on the road, at home, in the trailer....this little machine is perfect for anywhere! Highly, highly recommend. |

Ok, they need to update the info here. I just bought this player and i am in love with it. It does play VCD's which they do not say here. It does of DD decoder. screen images is great. ez to use, and styleish design. slimline battery that mounts on the bottom. Charge the battery while watching movies. |

High Definition And How Is It Different From Standard Definition?
High Definition or "HD" is a
technological leap forward from standard definition, with up to 6x the
picture resolution, so that what you see is sharper and more realistic. Regular TVs and the TV channels you watch
at home are typically in standard definition (unless you watch HD channels).
DVD are also in standard definition. Standard definition (480i & 480p)
is lower quality than high definition. Many older TV sets are standard
def, and can only show standard def content (programming). Many new
TVs are called High Definition TVs (HDTV). They are capable of showing
high def content in: 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, all high definition
formats, but 1080p provides the highest picture quality of them all.
