bought one in february and had problem with battery light coming on and alarm squeeling. can be turned off and back on and beeping quits for several days. called and e-mailed manufacturer and can not get anyone to call or e-mail back. will replace with different brand!!!!!

Supplies plenty of power to all my speakers, twin monitors, xps tower and several other large accessors. Plenty of battery backup inputs AND the off-to-the-side inputs for transformers (so they don't take up multiple inputs)
Excellent backup. We had power surges and dropouts every 10 minutes for 2 days last week and it held up great. My computer never shut down and no harm was done either to my computer or to the backup. Highly recommended especially for the low price!

It's a neat-looking and capable device. Load = 40% supporting two machines (one with 400W psu), 19'' monitor and inkjet printer. Under Windows my cursor kept changing to its 'background task' version every few seconds as the software polled the serial port. I found this to be too irritating but I bought the unit to be controlled from a Linux box and that works fine.

This UPS works great and I never need to worry about my computer during power shortage. It beeps when the power goes out to alert you if you are sleeping or blind to the fact that the power just went out. However, I would not recommend this kind of UPS for the electronic devices which exceed the UPS capacity voltage/wattage. Also, if you are looking for a UPS which can provide much higher voltage/wattage, you might need to compare the UPS voltage/wattage rating against your electronic rating to judge how much time you get from power out to battery drain. In addition, the advertised backup runtime on batteries is 20 mins. So if you only need a minute to save work and then safely turn off the PC and LCD, then this is the UPS for you! Plus, it is cheap compare to the other UPSes.

I installed my UPS about 6 months ago and I barely notice it is there until a blackout hit our building. Whew! It saved me from all the fuss of doing my spreadsheet all over again. This unit is truly reliable. It's like having a guardian angel watching over and protecting you.

I have dealt with surge-destroyed computer before. I do not want to risk my new gaming pc so I purchased OPTI-UPS ES800C. It has 1050 joules. Also it is with a real AVR which supports both ''boost'' and ''buck''; unlike some other UPS only have basic ''boost'' AVR. The real AVR can lengthen the lifespan of the battery. I do not want to buy a cheap junk UPS without AVR or with basic AVR and it will end up I need to spend more money on battery. It is like free or cheap printer deals and they later on make more money on the ink and toner.
