Summary: Great tool, A+ geek factor, bleeding edge, and $100 less than the FX2008, though with a cheaper band.
I've had the watch about a week now. Works really well. OS loads quickly, watch faces are cool, handy having the pda reminder on the wrist instead of lying in my briefcase where I can't hear it, even plays Freecell.
Some negatives
- absolutely no corp. support or contact information available
- no watch bands available that I've been able to dredge up (Abacus version comes with a rubber watch-band with leather outer panels stitched on - makes the wrist sweat and not adjustable like the metal ones in some images I've seen)
- very poor software/product support.
Fossil makes great watches, but they're not a PDA company by any stretch of the imagination. They apparently failed to plan for successful launch of this product. I had to buy the Abacus model because the FX2008 wasn't even in production in June/July 2005. That's dreadful supply chain.

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE WATCH! I've had it for about a week now. If you have doubts that some Palm OS Applications won't work on it, almost all do! The only ones that do not work are games like Subhunt and Tetris that require palm ''hard'' buttons, and cannot be played any other way. Battery life is as good as they say. I can charge it every other night, but if I have heavy use, like using it in ''normal'' mode, not the battery savings ''watch'' mode, about 2-3 hours, I need to charge it that night. If your looking for a great, feature enhanced watch, this is it. If you want Web though, try one of Fossil's MSN watches, otherwise, this is it! |

It is a very handy tool, the loading time is very good, and it's also easy to use.
The only bad thing about it is the backlight mode, when it's ON you can hardly read the text.
You also have to charge it on a daily basis. |
