This motherboard features a Socket 939 design. The Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) style socket makes it easy to install and upgrade your processor.
The A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard is based on the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI chipset. It supports AMD Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2 and Athlon 64 FX processors, with 800/1000MHz Front Side Bus support.
Memory Expansion
The A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard contains four 184-pin DDR SDRAM memory slots. They can support up to 4GB of DDR400/DDR333/DDR266 ECC/ non-ECC un-buffered DDR SDRAM memory .
PCI Express Support
The A8N-SLI Deluxe fully supports PCI Express, the latest I/O interconnect technology that speeds up the PCI bus. PCI Express features point-to-point serial interconnections between devices and allows higher clockspeeds by carrying data in packets. This high-speed interface is software compatible with existing PCI specifications.
The A8N-SLI Deluxe IDE controller can support up to four Ultra ATA133/100/66/33 devices.
Serial ATA
The A8N-SLI Deluxe supports the Serial ATA technology through the Serial ATA interfaces. The SATA specification allows for thinner, more flexible cables with lower pin count, reduced voltage requirement, and up to 3 MB/s data transfer rate. Supports Raid 0,1 & 0+1.
The A8N-SLI Deluxe comes with a LAN chip (Marvell PHY) and provides a back panel LAN port.
