Well.. even though it's a socket 939 and AM2 is starting to move up a bit, this Mobo still proves 939 can crush AM2 boards for another couple years or more. I'm running this mobo with 3200 DDR 2 Gig (at 400mhz) x2 Geforce 7900Gs AMd 64 4000+ (4000+ Since I'm a hardcore gamer and not a frequent multi-tasker+ The x2 3800 and x2 4200 are crushed by the 4000+ in primary gaming benchmarks&fps :P, just a piece of info for the ppl who play games like F.E.A.R EP, Doom3, Far Cry, Quake 4, BF2142 and the upcoming UT2007, Crysis and Halo 2 Vista) Ultra Grid Case 250gig 7200 Rpm HD and 2x 17'' monitor LCD. All in all.. keeps cool, runs great, even though we're headed into 07, do not let others fool you. 939 will be around for alot longer regardless of DDR2 Ram. Also keep in mind alot of testers and people who own sites still use this mobo as well as others like it. For gamers who wonder what kind of FPS I get.. I get over 100 FPS easily with BF 2142 at Maxed AA and AAF+All High (With Fraps)

The board is solid and well designed. If you are no aware of the power supply requirements, the older 10 pin supply will not work. This came as a surprise to me and perhaps many other computer builders who use existing PS. It pays to get a new case with a 400+ PS. Other than that, the board is great and workes like a charm.

ALRIGHT, this motherboard is an awesoms motherboard, this is the first one ive bought, and asus is now the ONLY company i will buy a motherboard from, although, i have to admit, the chipset fan did burn out on me, although it sucks, its not that big an issue, and the onboard sound, isnt all that great, its not bad, but when u turn the volume up, you get quite a bit of interference, which you would expect from onboard sound, although i think if you got a program it could be fixed

Bought this board for my first PC Build. Found it easy to install and good manuals. I'm running an AMD 3700+, 2gig RAM, 7800GT Video Card, 2 DVD Burners, Floppy, 250gig Hard drive and a Soundblaster X sound card. Been up and running on this for 5 months with no problems. Board has more features than I'll ever use. Being a big gamer this setup has ran Oblivion with settings max'ed out and game played smooth.

I had this board for less than a month before it died. that and the onboard fan sounds like a lawn mower in deep grass. Asus support is decent however, and when you have problems with this board, they will fix it promptly.

Just picked it up. Really great board all around, for sure. Might be a little 'outdated' as many pretentious computer guys would say, but as far as I'm concerned it gets the job done well above and beyond my requirements. If you need a 939 board, snatch this one up...5.1 built in, USB AND FireWire ready, plenty of expansion options...just check the photo gallery or specs! I can't imagine anybody needing anything else. The price is great, as well...and TigerDirect doesn't mess around in terms of shipping quick and sturdy.
