Hurry! Limited Time Offer! Unbelievable Price Break! Share one PC with up to 10 users!
DoubleSight offers the world's first terminal device that does not require a CPU, hard-drive, or CD-ROM unlike your typical PCs. With the exclusive UTMA (Ultra Thin Multi-Access™) technology, the PCExpanion allows you to expand your existing PC to up to 10 computer terminals.
How does it work?
Because your existing PC is being under utilized (see image above) PCExpanion is programmed to access the host PC's excess computing power. By utilizing Windows XP/2000's multi-user feature with UTMA technology from Ncomputing, PCExpanion can operate like a separate PC terminal without decreasing the overall performance of either the host PC or each PCExpanion terminal. Therefore, each terminal unit can run any applications from the host PC independently and securely.
Why Select PCExpanion
Cost effective: Save up to 80% of your hardware cost versus buying a P4 or equivalent PC, PCExpanion gives any office or home users the opportunity to expand an existing host PC easily and affordably.

Compatibility: PCExpanion will run Windows based applications on your host PC: internet browsing, email, office suites, most games and much more. (except 3D games or Legacy applications)
Simultaneous Windows operation: Both host PC and PCExpanion terminals can run independently and execute same application programs separately.

I'm a Network Admin and have installed a total of 4 units on one Server. They work fine for most applications HOWEVER...
The software and documentation is pretty bad. Luckily, these units don't need any maintenance once they're working.
2 of the units we're using are an older model, 2 units are newer. The Control Panel does not display the status of all units correctly (not plugged in, not on network, etc.) although they are working fine. Another thing to note is that the keyboard and mouse ports can't power keyboard wedge devices at the same time (such as scanners, card readers, etc.) This would make them hard to use in a POS situation along with the fact that there are no printer or USB ports.... You could use a network print server on the Ethernet port to provide for local printing.

I purchased one about a month ago. It works great, thinking about buying a second one. We have it installed in the kitchen, for quick access to files and the internet. Would be perfect for a kids room. Great way to recycle a keyboard and monitor into a second computer. Only request is for a USB connection.

I just purchased this product for my office and it runs great! It's really just as fast as my pentium 4 however steaming video only works in a 4x4 caption box. Business Graphics is perfect and it even supports resolutions of 1280x1024 but you have to go into it's own menue. This product is also very easy to set up; even a person with no networking experience can do it. I also found that it has other features to monitor the other Expanions connected to the host PC. Geat product for business, education and home users. I only wish they come out with a product that supports a USB port.

Am considering this for the office. Thought I would try it out at home first. It works great, especially for internet/mail/office/accounting sofware. The funniest part is that now I can hear my monitor as there are no other computers in the room I have it in. Downside for me is the fact that it can only display a maximum of 1024x768 which will not fit the native resolution of every 17'' LCD I have seen. It definitely needs 100MB access to your computer.

We are currently using 4 of these at work with good results. I tried one at home but it ran like a dog, but after seeing the 4/9 review I may have to check my home system for quick time and retry it! Just wish they had a printer port!!
