Bought 2, both didnt work
Bought 2 of these and both of them didnt work on our Win7. Our coms had 4gig Ram so that wasnt the issue. We kept them in our junk pile and they werent compatible with XP or Vista either. Waste of money.

Luke warm
I purchased two of these several years ago, and one very recently. The older two, worked well, so when the sound went out of my Asus motherboard, I thought this a cheap and easy fix. It is not plug and play. It also isn't true 5.1. Overall, an aging product that still will meet your demands of a low-mid level PC.

Sucks
Upgraded to 5.1 spkrs, this card isn't 5.1. Was a royal pain getting it to work with Win7 for my 2.1 spkrs, then it POPPED constantly no matter what the sound was or where it came from. Value? Sure it was cheap and you get what you pay for, and now I have to make another run to the store for a sound card that works. Don't waste your time or money.

Almost There
What people said about this product not installing on windows 7, well, they are wrong. It CAN install on windows 7, but only if you have 4gb of ram ore less (Sounds weird, but it is true.) It has worse quality than my onboard(Biostar Hi-Fi) but it DOES have surround. I ended up getting a Creative Audigy 2 ZS.

no 5.1
worked fine but it does not have 5.1 surround sound as stated note it does not have the black jack port needed to be 5.1
