Failed after one month! Sent to data recover company to get my critical data back and they were unsuccessful. RMAed drive to maxtor and then also bought a 2nd one thinking it that would be the safe thing to do. Now I'm having problems with the second, it has a short in the back of the unit where the power cable plugs in. I would not recommend buying Maxtor, I have always had good luck with Western Digital, and kick myself for doing this to save some bucks! Not worth the $20 difference in price!

Few products deserve a 5 star; however, this could easily pull the 6th. Low cost and high value. Worked great right out of the box. Easy connection, registration, formatting, and software installation. Makes backups (even automatic backups) a dream not a nightmare!
