Kensington Trackball Lows

To begin, this is the fourth trackball I have owned. The first two were the old putty colored ones I used with my older Mac's and were much better quality. The last two were both the newer model K64325 - dark grey. For those contemplating a purchase, the ''stiff'' ball loosens up very nicely after an hour or so of use and is silky smooth. The scroll wheel is a different story. It is cheesy to say the least. The manufacturer knows about this and has for several years and has done nothing to date. Their answer is to ship it to them and they send you another one which may be just as bad. The scroll wheel on both of mine more grinds than turns. The ball also catches like the ball had a nick in it. The other one did that also. Software not used. I'm neutral as to recommending this as a purchase.

Not perfect, but nevertheless very good

My first objection is that the supplier ships only by that obnoxious but predominate brown truck shipping company, which is very unreliable within my neighborhood, so it is unlikely, for that specific reason, that I will ever order through this supplier again. As to the trackball, it has more features than any other trackball or mouse device I've ever had and I'm pretty much very happy with it, but do wish they would find a more secure way to attach the wrist rest to the device. My particular office set-up requires me to move the trackball out of the way whenever I'm not specifically working on my computer and the wrist rest persists in coming loose from the device whenever I do that. Other than that, the precision and ease of movement when using the device make it very recommendable.

Best Quality

Although it took some time to get used to, I believe the quality is unsurpassed. You can pay less, but you get what you pay for.

I don't know why the world does not use this Mouse

For some reason this is the only place I can ever find this mouse for sale in an actual store. People look at me like I am insane when they see me working with this mouse, but I have never found a better one, and it is an inconvenience to use any other type of mouse or trackball. (This is not a paid endorsement!)

Will not work with Vista!

I absolutely love this trackball. I use one at work on a daily basis and it's fantastic. The only gripe I have is that it will not work with Windows Vista. The drivers will not install correctly making it just a two button trackball. If Kensington would buck up and write new drivers for it, I'd buy one for my home PC as well.
