I have no complaints with this burner. It has worked flawlessly since I first bought it a few months ago. The burning issues that the other commentors have stated may be due to inappropriate burning software (find the software that will fit your needs); as a device, this burns discs (dvd-r, dvd+r and dvd-dl) well -- not a coaster so far. It is not as quick as an internal drive and I'm not sure if this is inherent to external drives but ultimately, this is worth the money (especially with the rebate). |

Highly Recommended. I haven't had a problem with this burner. It's really good about burning data dvd and cd discs and the one time I made a dvd player worthy disc, it worked. The software included (not sonic, but nero express) is nice, but not good for beginners. |

Great Buy....I've been using one for 2 months and I have not had any problems. I like the bundled sofware, it gives me all the tools I need for burning DVDs and CDs. I recommend it.

This dvd burner is an outstanding buy! In under 15 minutes (after setting things up) I was burning home mpeg format movie files that I've received from family, friends (via computer emails) and my own, on my first dvd+r disc. I can now view them on my dvd player instead of being limited to viewing them only through my computer. The sonic software (or the MyDVD portion) is so user friendly. I am extremely pleased with this burner and the Sonic software that came as part of the package. This is one of the best bangs for your dollar for a great quality piece of hardware and software. If you're in the market for a new dvd burner, Tiger Direct is the best place to go. I definitely give this dvd burner and software package 5 stars! |

What Is USB 2.0?
USB 1.1 was great when it was introduced almost a decade ago. But
the newer USB 2.0 transfers data dramatically faster - up to 40 times
quicker. Plus, USB 2.0 provides additional bandwidth for multimedia and
storage applications, which are growing larger every year. Also to your
advantage is the fact that USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with
USB 1.1, which means that cables and connectors made for the original USB
configuration will also work perfectly in a USB 2.0 port, though some newer
