Highly recommended. Computer speakers have come along way in quality and value. Klipsch and Altec-Lansing are duking it out and we are the winners.
The best review I've written for a computer sub until now was ''not boomy''. I will call this sub tight and accurate. They sure make music, movies and gaming fun!

Other reviews of this product compare it to regular home audio, so I will put it in perspective: the speakers don't image too well, but they do a fair job of producing any kind of sound without getting muddy. These are in no way going to replace a decent home audio system, but they're better than most PC and TV speakers. The subwoofer sounded completely unnatural until I plugged the port. They can be run at volumes that will fill an office without damaging the drivers. My set is two or three years old, and I have begun to have a connection problem to the sub unit. The problem is with the speaker wire itself, so this will be an opportunity for me to upgrade the speaker wires.

I can't begin to describe how incredible these speakers are. I've had them for over a year now, running with a crap audio card and they still sound amazing. I've never had to jack the volume past the halfway mark. My computer is in my den, and with the volume at half and the sub at well under half, you can feel it thump through the entire house. Great speakers, you will not be disappointed!

I love these speakers but one thing makes them not worth buying. THEY ARE NOT VERY DURABLE. Either that or I'm incredibly unlucky. I'm on my third set of them and the right midrange cone BUZZES very bad. My first set stopped working entirely for some reason. My second set's cable to the back of the subwoofer broke off randomly. These speakers may work awesome for you for years and years but be forewarned. I have had terrible luck with them as much as I love them.

I was looking for a set of 2.1 or 2.0 PC speakers under $150 budget. I intend to use it mostly for music. After reading many reviews (including cnet), choices were narrowed down to Logitech Z-2300 or Klipsch Promedia 2.1. I was kind of leaning toward Z-2300 because of its attractive price (You can get it on-line at around $60 after mail-in rebate) Then, I had a chance to listen to Z-2300 at bestbuy and I don't like the sound of it (could be a bad demo setup.) So I took my chance with Klipsch 2.1 and I am very pleased. Sub-woofer complements the speakers very well. Music playback is very lively and detailed, better than anything I've heard from other 'PC' speaker sets. I now listen to music from my PC a lot more often. At $150, this is a bargain.

The sound quality from these speakers is incredible. They are capable of uncomfortable volumes without breaking up. This is real studio quality equipment at a very reasonable price.

Well worth the money! Typical high quality sound and craftmanship from an audiophile company. Beats Bose, hands down, and at half of the price! I added a $10.00 Coby digital am/fm walkman type radio and my Sony mini-disc player to it, and they both sound as good as my $6,000 higher-end 7.1 system! Granted it's setup in a smaller room, but WOW! This Klipsch unit is LOUD, and the bass and high notes are all clean and accurate, even at extreme high volumn. Imaging and staging is very nice as well; very typical of Klipsch speakers. A nice feature is the second input jack, so you can connect your PC and your MP3 player to it without having to unplug every time you change source. Would be nice if Klipsch made a remote for it, but hey, I'm the guy who wants everything, NOW!

I've had these babies for about 6 months. I also have the Logitech Z5500 5.1 dts/dd5.1 system to compare it to. I've used 3 different sound cards on both sets of speakers: ACL850 onboard audio, Nforce2 Soundstorm audio, and M-Audio Revolution 7.1. First of all the speakers never really got fed the right signal until my recent purchase of the M-audio revo (highly recommended). I'm totally satisfied now. They are totally superior to the Logitech 5.1 set (unless you want to blast the music with no regard to fidelity). Highs are CRYSTAL, bass is TIGHT, and mid is PRESENT. Beautiful. The best speakers for computer that I have had. I even prefer the revo/klipsch combo to my fairly expensive home theater (JBL/Pioneer). Get these but only with the proper sound card!. Peace...
