System setup took but 10 minutes. Box was unexpectedly heavy. Room setup feature is great. colors for the system plugs to the sound board don't match. Wish the speakers had wall mount capability, nothing offered I could find anywhere, will have to make shelves to do that correct. Sound is fantastic, cyrstal clear, no autolevel control for watching movies or TV (big negative in my book), but the sound is clear enough that its not frightening to suffer the volume jumps from commercials and loud scenes here and there. Never go beyond a 68 on the digital scale, can imagine my furniture jumping around...

I am very impressed with these speakers. The bass is precise and the highs are amazing. Given the choice again, I would definitely drop the cash and get these again. The only real problem I have with them is switching from the satellites to headphones takes about five seconds, but that's a minor quip at best.

This is by far the best set of speakers @ amp I have ever bought.I have had my set for about three years.Yes I was one of the first to have them.I read the reviews before me and I agree with all good speakers and amps they do not just like to be turn on high and go.That is why when you have good amps the have a prewarm value.I never start my speakers amp over half to start. With Xp keeping the last volume you had it on before you turn your computer off.I turn mine down before turning on my computer. You are apt to spike your amp or speakers.I also put this amp on a surge protector.I use mine with a mobile theater they are used in all kinds of weather and temp. They are very rugged I have heard nothing but praises about my system. Never turn this amp up past three quarter unless you are sure about the max imput Klipsch amps will over drive these speakers. D.C. amps This is a True TDX system. If you got bad sound going in, your going to have bad sound coming out.Dont overdrive you soundcard

Excellent sound quality! For anyone who disagrees, they don't know what quality sound is! I am an audio enthusiast, I have tested these on sound meters, rta meters, frequency dopplers; they are outstanding for top end computer speakers. As for craftsmanship, they are great, not too fancy, but still have the professional look. I haven't encountered any problem with playability. I have run them for almost 24 hours straight pounding them with various types of music (eg. R&B, Rock, Reggae etc) and have not experienced any problem what-so-ever! Anybody experiencing a problem with their unit might not be the unit, but your computer system itself!

This system is truely like the Klipsch name. A legend in sound, especially when you put a high end sound card behind them. This is an excellent system for the money.

This is, without a doubt, the best multimedia sound system available on the market. Klipsch has always been leading their competetors in this category, and with the release of this system they truly have a stronghold where power and performance is concerned.
However, I felt the need to bolster the power of my sound system further with additional Klipsch multimedia products.
This is what my PC Sound System is comprised of:
1)Promedia 5.1 Ultra
2)Promedia 2.1
3)Prmedia SWS Subwoofer
4)Terratec 7.1 Aueron Space sound card
I only listen to music on this system, so I set up the system in the following way: 3 left channels, 3 right channels, 1 centre, 3 subwoofers. All channels accounted for, this system delivers 800-watts of dynamic power.
Unfortunately, the SWS subwoofer (made specifically for the Promedia 5.1 Ultra as an added bass subwoofer addition) is no longer in production. However, you may be able to track down one online.

Outstanding, I have some decent hifi in my living room worth thousands and I never feel shortchanged by the Klipsch's when previewing/listening to Mp3's and the like, great sound/performance as nearfield speaker where room is less likely to interfere with sound, clean, clear full range sound, how do they get this to sound this good for so little $, no operational problems here either

As for the one bad review on this site, that is a result of a common misconception about these speakers. I have them and they are absolutely INCREDIBLE, the bass is stronger than any other speakers I have heard, even Creative Gigaworks...but at the same time it doesn't overwhelm the music like Logitech's does. The thing with these speakers is that for the first couple weeks when you have them, you have to break them in. You can't just turn it up all the way with brand new speakers, as with other good speakers you have to break the amp in a little, so turn it up no more than halfway (still incredibly loud) for the first week, then second week 3/4, and then you should be fine. I did that and the amp is definitely NOT blown and I've had them for a few months, don't listen to ignorant reviews that talk about the amps blowing, they just don't know how to treat a good set of speakers!

This is one company that stands behind their product, I bought the ProMedia v2-400.s five years ago and after being off for the first time in the five years they refused to fire up. I looked around for repairs on them and locally they wanted $125.00 just to look so I looked to Klipsch, they would repair them for $60.00 flat rate plus they'd pay return shipping so I sent them. After six weeks (many in between) I received an email saying they could not get parts so they could not fix them BUT if it was OK with me they'd replace them with the ProMedia Ultra 5.1. A complete replacement for speakers that were five years old and all I had to pay was the $60.00 repair fee plus tyhe $21.00 I spent to send the sub and control speaker. I had borrowed a set from a friend because he didn't listen to music much, they were another brand but one of the high end speaker sets from Logi-tech, not even in the same ball park. I'm using them with a Philips PSC706 with no distortion at high levels
