Paladin Crimpall 8000
Paladin Tools' 8000 Series Crimp Tools are ergonomically designed, allowing
you to work more comfortably. This CrimpAll Crimp tool ships with an RJ-45 die
set (WE/SS, UTP).
Paladin Tools' 8000 Series CrimpAll crimp tools feature an angled head to prevent
awkward bending of the wrist and reduced handle grip distances for easy manipulation.
With CrimpAll tools, high crimp force is produced using low hand force. No break-over
hand force is required to complete a crimp. Soft, embedded rubber handles and
a double-plated jaw assembly make this crimper extremely comfortable and easy
to use. Thumb screws allow you to change die sets quickly and simply using hand-tightening.
The CrimpALL is compatible with all standard Paladin tool die sets. Die sets
are available for coax, modular plugs, fiber optic, insulated lugs and open
barrel connector types. The tool also features built-in safety releases.

I've been crimping all types of connectors for eons and I always had problems with RJ-45 connectors. With the old cheap crimping tools I used to buy, I had to put so much muscle power in it that my hands. Plus, I had to double check my connector to see if all pins were crimped properly... and even them, I regularly ended up with non-working connectors or even worse, intermittent problems.
I finally got around to buying a more expensive tool. Let me tell you it's night and day! No longer to I have to use muscle power to make sure the crimp was good. It's a perfect connector every single time, period. It confirms that you usually get the quality you pay for.
The only reason I put only 4 stars for features is that it only crimps RJ-45 whereas my old one used to also do RJ-11 RJ-12. But in the end, I'd rather carry two or even three crimps that do a perfect job than one that does everything wrong...

I bought this crimp set from globalgoved a year or two ago. It is the best crimping tool I have ever used. The ratcheting mechanism and top quality rj-45 die included make a perfect crimp every time. It has kept my hands from cramping when making alot of cables and saved me tons of time because it never misses a pin.
