I purchased one of these after my USR wireless router died. PROS: The signal strength is great, Features are very nice (I like making sure the kids are off the computer by having the network shutdown at a specific time), the feature for allocating speed to the machine that needs it the most is very nice, & lots of security options. CONS: I could not get the software setup to work and ended up having to go directly into the router to conduct the setup manually. All the computers could hook up to it, but the Xbox360 would continually disconnect, even though it is Xbox Certified, I couldnt get a reliable connection established. I went to Linksys website and they have no real answers and the boards are littered with this same problem with no clear fix. I'm sure there is a simple fix out there, but I really don't have any more time to play with it and it will go back. Over all I was impresses with it, I had my USR for 6 years, and these new routers have stepped up a lot.

Am very pleased with this unit purchased Oct '08. Currently using it with Optimum Online Boost & two Linksys satellite switches to push a home network over three floor levels powering both wired and wireless PC's, Tivos, Nintendo Wii, and parallel & usb print servers. Absolutely no problems with setup or performance! Internet speed on average is coming in at 15,000 bps download and 4,500 bps upload. Flawless download of video from internet to Tivos. No problems with gaming over internet on the Ninentdo Wii.
Reliable signal strength over all three floors of home. Files move betweeen PC's quickly enough. Originally thought that unit might be old technology cause its been around awhile. Maybe so, but I think it will be plenty good enough for me for quite some time to come.

I was using a very very Old Linksys Wireless-B which was constantly disconnecting me from the internet so I picked this router up today at the Miami (Flagler Store) for $55 + tax .. installed in less then 10 minutes.. works good so far .. no problems encountered. Good price as well. Im using it with Bellsouth DSL (Extreme) and 3 computers wired in and the 4th port for my security cameras around my house so I can view my house from the internet when im not at home.

ff good wireless signal. Both the wired and wireless setups failed on multiple pc's. Setup and installation are done terribly with included materials and software. Wireless connection cannot be maintained in Windows setup tools, and to setup wireless on your computers, you have to wire the pc to the router so it can ''retrieve the router info''. It won't let you input anything manually. Stay away, get D-Link or USRobotics.

Linksys makes great routers, the only way to make them better is to use the Linux-based DD-WRT firmware, doing so will allow for a higher level of customization and enterprise level features.

A great router! It is only took me 10 minutes to get this unit up and running.
The reception is great from all 3 floors of my home. After reading bad reviews on other brands of router this is the unit of choice.

Do not walk away from this router, RUN. Pre-version 5 was great but version 5 and up has different software and is terrible. Had one and had to reset at least 10 times a day. After hours with tech support, they suggested I take it back and purchase a different brand. They know they are having problems since the new software. STAY AWAY!

OMG! All computer hardware should be this easy to install. After my Intellinet router that cost almost as much as this one died after 1 year, I replaced it with this Linksys. I couldn't be happier. It is faster and the signal strength in my house is stronger on all three floors.
