PB6100 Supports Texas Instruments DLP Chip
The PB6100 also utilizes proprietary BenQ video-processing technology to support
the latest DLP chip set from Texas Instruments. It is HDTV-compatible (480p,
720p and 1080i) with direct YPbPr/component (through VGA port), S-Video and
composite video inputs. The new DDR DLP chipsets produce flawless pictures that
won't fade or degrade over time, and the optical engine lifetime exceeds 100,000
hours while maintaining the images' original clarity.

We have had our unit for three months and are entirely satisfied with its performance, both as a computer and VCR/DVD projector. Very good value for money. |

This is a very impressive projector with a bright and sharp image. I have had it for about a month now, using it for presentations and for movies. I have found that it is importnat to switch to the correct mode for maximum performance. In presentation mode, the image is sharp, vibrant and very true to the color on a top monior. In cinema mode, the image is stunning when paired with a reasonably good DVD player. I have found that the DVD player makes a HUGE difference as my old budget DVD player produced a somewhat washed out and dull image. This unit is light and very easy to carry. Highly recommended. |

Does a very good job in a normally lit room. I bought it as a presentation projector. It does an excellent job of detecting video source input and even supports PIP if multiple sources are connected. That being said I have to be honest and say that I have enjoyed it more as a home entertainment projector. It is capable of HDTV projection and does really good with standard inputs. I bought a 60 inch screen to go with it and going to a widescreen diagonal of better than 70 inches has been great. At this price point you would be hard pressed to do better. |
