Great, now I can save lots of file room. Scans are great after downloading the software update. Highly recommend it! Just wish the tax part was Canadian. Really like it, can take it to a clients home and leave with documents I need, and they keep the originals. |

This is as easy to use as the ad says. I've gone through a whole stack of bills, receipts and documents in just a few hours. I hate to file, so this works really well for me. I'm buying a few for Christmas presents for family as they are ''filing-challenged'' as well. Best price at Tiger Direct. |

For receipts it's great quick and a good formats. Since there is no seperate software it is difficult to scan to jpeg and is not a high quality scanner as far as picture quality goes. |

In terms of usability, its great. Not being the most technical person, I have found it easy to install, use and navigate. I started using it for business but have now figured out how to organize and manage all of my receipts, business and personal. Good tech support too. |

Neat Receipts is a pretty cool and impressive product. When I first used it, I almost could not believe how well it worked. I use it to organize and file my receipts and expenses. All I need to do is scan my receipts and it extracts the information I need in an easy to read format. Definitely a remarkable device - very useful for expense reporting.

This is the BEST tool yet for home or office! You just have to play with it to see what the dark or light scan should be.
I have the first product my mom just got the newest and it comes with a special holder and a carrying case. Way too cool. If you choose not to purchase the scanner you will find that your printer will work but you will have too large of pictures and eats up your memory. So do by the package.
I find that saving an expense report and scanning into that report is best for me. If you scan into the Report Manager you have to drag and drop... I find this is extra work. but you may find it WONDERFUL!
This product has more and more uses as the years go on. Every house or office should have this.

Works well for fewer receipts. The software does not recognize Light blue printed receipts and yellow receipts [which are very common]. The receipts that are black and white are excellently recognized. The automatic filling of the typed words is a plus and minus. For eg, when you have a receipt of Subway, the first time you type in 'Subway', the software records the stroks. The second time you start with a word 'Su..' the system automatically fills as Subway, BUT THE ISSUE IS IT WILL NOT LET YOU TYPE ANYTHING ELSE. The current scanner displayed is different from the one I purchased. Too many receipts cannot be handled. The software has a strange problem of duplicating a single receipt to many times during large loads of receipts. Scanner is connected through USB which is good. Overall great for less receipts. Allows us to create folders for individual bank accounts and credit card so that receipts can be scanned into the folder directly. I used the product for a month. |

This is a software package the requires you to buy a scanner with it. Bottom line -> Don't waste your money on the scanner!
Scanner: Very easy to set up in Windows XP. Scan quality is not very good. This is a simple pass-through scanner. Full pages are not always aligned properly. Receipts, which are what this product was intended for, have a very annoying tendency to slide and twist as they pass through the scanner.
Software: I bought this product as a consumer to track purchases with quicken. Current software interfaces will Quicken 2004 using qif. But, you will need next year's software to work with Quicken 2005 as qif support is dropped from quicken. The receipt image is placed in a proprietary format file. You cannot view it with other software. There is an export option for JPG, but it is very tedious and not as automated as it should be. |

This product is awesome for organizing your financial life as well as regular documents. The product features dont talk about creating reports in PDF format...it even embeds the scanned images 1, 2 or 4 images per page. I love it...I scan, save and send the PDF to my admin. Great Buy! |

Amazing gadget. No more saving receipts for IRS.! The IRS accepts automatic reports that are created by this software for your tax filing. I save receipts all year for doing my taxes and then spend days entering all the information in my Quickbooks* software. NeatReceipts does everything for me! |
