A cost-effective touchscreen laptop

It is the most cost-effective one i have found in the market. In this size and price, you wont expect this to run easily some super complicated programs or video editing. Instead, u know you will get portability, and performace well enough for daily document requirement. The resolution is not too high, but is good enough. To get a bigger screen 15.6 with touchscreen, at least u have to pay 200 more, and u can only get the same resolution still. If u really want to get a high-end specifications touchscreen laptop, certainly u can, but it doesnt make too much sense. To buy a big huge heavy 16 - 18 inch touchscreen laptop means - u lose the portability (it will be a DESKTOP), and it gets heavy, and you will pay a lot more than desktop with the same specifications. Why not just buy a DESKTOP then? Therefore, i wont invest too much and just buy this one, very cost-efficient.

Don't buy an ASUS product

I bought an ASUS tablet for my wife. Sat wrapped for several weeks. Would not turn on. Sent back for repair. Took a very long time. Worked for several weeks. Same problem. Contacted them and they said it was out of warranty - even though it was the same problem. I have a dead tablet that worked a few times. I even had an email that said they would fix it. DON'T DO IT!

hard drive make noise

let it work all night ,if make noise your hard drive is not working. i bought 2 one works good, and the second is not good.

Good Value and Performance

I got this PC on sales, so that make my opinion in a good value if you compare with other touch screen PCs. So far, quality is good and performance is good response for a touch screen and keyboard. I'm little disapointment with the screen not opening that much, at least for a 180 degree for touch screen PC, specially for presentations. Also, there's no function numbers (Alt+Fn+number) to use special characters. To upside that, you can use touch keyboard for special characters.

Great little notebook that feels solid

I bought this unit so that I can sit in bed and perform basic tasks online and check email. I installed a 240GB SSD and this thing performs very well for my needs. Boots extremely fast and I don't notice any lag time loading apps. The touch screen is nice and very helpful with Windows 8. I also chose to install a utility called Desktop Is Back which makes the OS boot into a Windows 7 style desktop. It makes Windows 8 much more tolerable. The unit looks and feels solid. Battery life is good but not great. I wish the keyboard was backlit but that would only suck the battery down faster. All-in-all a great little notebook.
