hmmm
died 3 days aftersetting it up. apparently my 20 watts speakers knocked out the board but it is still a good product mines was a factory defect
Great mobo except for no Win7 audio
I've had this in my machine for about 3 years and have never had a problem with it until I went to Win7 and the audio is not supported by Intel. I have it working but it sounds like crud. Other than that it's been a great workhorse for me.
Not for Windows 7 !!!!
Be careful if you intend to use this MB with Windows 7. Intel is not supporting the driver for the HD audio chip set in Windows 7 and the audio driver for XP and Vista does not work. Really disappointed becasue I thought Intel was a class act and I have been happy otherwise with the MB and CPU combo (Core Duo Quad). Your guess is as good as mine as to why Intel is deciding not to support.
2 shorts, 2 years
This mobo has shorted twice over 2 years.
The only good thing is that Intel sent me a new one (they paid for shipping to and from their repair center).
Good deal, great mobo :-)
Running XP Pro on this with a PCI tv tuner card & PCIe video, it is working great (digital audio sounds awesome!). We had issues with a G45 chipset board previously, but not with this one. With 4 gigs of RAM, XP runs like a champ (yes, it does take a bit of work to get XP loaded on the board and therefore my only complaint/question is: Why don't they just include all of the HDD/SATA drivers when they do the BIOS in these boards?)
